BCBL Launches ‘Touch Points’
Bangladesh Commerce Bank has launched multi purpose service points branded as ‘Touch Points’. The first ‘Touch Points’ has been installed beside Uttara Branch. Gradually the Bank will install several ‘Touch Points’ around the prime locations of Dhaka city and countrywide. Here customers can get following services:

- Remittance
- Various information about Banking
BCBL Signs MoU with Polaris Software
Polaris Software (POLS.BO), a leading global Financial Technology Company, Sonali Bank Ltd., the largest Nationalized Commercial Bank in Bangladesh and Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd. (BCBL) signed a MoU to form a Joint Venture Company Sonali Polaris Financial Technology Ltd (SPFTL) where BCBL will hold a 10% stake in the new company.
Through signing this contract, BCBL has chosen Intellect Core Banking Solution (CBS) to replace their existing solutions.
Launching of BCB Credit Card
Bangladesh Commerce Bank has launched BCB Credit Card on May 25, 2011. It is the first ‘Proprietary Credit Card’ branded as BCB for Bangladeshi customers. It is a low-cost credit card product with wide acceptability within the country, compared to other products available in the market.
The BCB Card can be used in the POS terminals at all Merchant Points of The City Bank Ltd. & Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. (DBBL) for buying goods and services and in ATMs of DBBL, Brac Bank and all the Member banks of Q-Cash for cash advance.
Mr. A.Q. Siddiqui, Chairman of the Bank introduced this new proprietary credit card in a simple launching event while opening the new office premises of IT & Card Division at 13th floor of Surma Tower (Level-14), 59/2 Purana Paltan, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh. Among others, Managing Director of different member banks of Q-Cash Consortium, MDs of associates banks, CEO of IT Conultant Ltd., the Managing Director & CEO of BCBL Mr. S. A. Chowdhury and other senior Executives of the Bank were present on the occasion. The bank is going to introduce many other card products and services shortly.
